The golf architects, Blake Stirling and Marco Martin have sculptured a golf course out of pure hard, granite rock. It is a beautiful piece of land , with little soil , a rocky soil bed transformed in one of the most spectacular golf courses in Spain.
The golf course is a test in composure, and the golfer´s ability to hit the ball with demanding accuracy. The holes snake through thick forest of Encinas (Oak trees) and rock outcroppings. The golf course has demanding greens, plenty of sand bunkers, and some enormous lakes. Intelligence is the key on this golf course. The golfer is challenged to keep the ball in fairways. That is the key in ASR. Many of the holes offer fabulous, incredible views of the Spanish country side. It is a tough, but fair golf course, full of beauty.
